TRIP

OCTOBER 5-9, 2023

Thursday, October 5th

Welcome to Paris, the City of Lights!

You’ll arrive at Le Pigalle Hotel in the hip neighborhood of South Pigalle, also known as SoPi. Understated, yet utterly cool, the neighborhood and hotel embody the French balance that us foreigners live for. Architects Charlotte de Tonnac and Hugo Sauzay of Festen Architecture captured the essence of French contemporary design whilst nestled into a historically steeped traditional Parisian neighborhood.

It’s arty, full of delicious food, and will set the mood for our week together. You have a beautiful double room to yourself! Throw open the windows, slip on a silk robe, and pop the champagne. You have arrived.

In the late afternoon, Allison will meet the group at the hotel and we’ll share dinner and go over all our itinerary and adventures! Let the design fun begin! Pro-tip, stop by KB Coffee Roasters for an afternoon cappuccino to keep jet-lag at bay.

Friday, October 6th

Ease into the French lifestyle with a strong cup of coffee, creamy cheese, fruit, and pastries in the on site restaurant that cascades out onto a bustling city sidewalk. From the hotel, we’ll take a private transfer to the recently reopened Hotel de la Marine, a pristinely preserved example of eighteenth century French extravagance designed by famed architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel. Each room is drenched in color, detail, and history that one cannot even fathom in the US.

After touring the museum and absorbing all the design inspiration,we’ll take a 10 minute stroll to a Parisian brasserie for a classic French lunch. You’ll never tire of sitting streetside, sipping a beverage and watching Parisians glide past.

After a lovely meal, we’ll wander around the area. We’ll stand on the black and white columns at Palais-Royal, sit in the famous green chairs at the Tuileries, take photos in front of the Louvre, and make our way to the Seine.

After a lovely day in the 1st Arrondissement, we’ll head back to our hotel to refresh before dinner. Our dinner will include delicious food in a dreamy atmosphere - a secret treat that will make you want to be a local yourself.

Saturday, October 7th

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head to the Paris Flea Market, the Marché aux Puces Saint-Ouen. This is not your average flea market - the French are serious about their antiques. You’ll be inspired by modern, vintage, and antique design around every corner! We will spend the whole day here, I’ll take you to my favorite vendors, point out significant designs and help you find the perfect Parisian accent to call your own.

Allison has spent hundreds of hours in the flea, researching the best stops and prices using her extensive design experience to curate a day that will inspire you for years to come. Along the way, we’ll stop for a delicious lunch, coffee and snacks.

After the Marché, we’ll head back to the hotel and get ready fora fabulous dinner at one of Allison’s favorite restaurants.

Sunday, October 8th

After breakfast, we’ll spend the morning casually strolling Vanves Flea Market. Vanves is the classic French flea market of your dreams! This is where you can score great deals on pottery, antique artwork, trinkets, and vintage rugs. With Allison by your side, you’ll be sure to find something that makes your heart sing. After Vanves, we’ll head over to Allison’s apartment for a late lunch. Allison will provide bubble wrap and tape, so you can pack your treasures for your suitcase.

During the late afternoon, you have some free time for rest, shopping, or a museum!

Monday, October 9th

Check out of the hotel and say goodbye to your new friends! Feel free to stay longer in Paris or continue the adventure in another European city like Copenhagen, London or Amsterdam!

If you have more time in Paris, Allison will give you plenty of insider tips and suggestions for you to explore on your own. You’ll never get bored in Paris and the design inspiration is endless! Plus, you can never eat too many croissants!
